4 Things you might not have known about your  Cell Phone

For all the folks with cell phones. (This should be printed and kept in your car, purse, and wallet. Good information to have with you.)   There are a few things that can be done in times of grave emergencies. Your mobile phone can actually be a life saver or an emergency tool for survival.  Check out the things that you can do with it:   FIRST   (Emergency)   The Emergency Number worldwide for Mobile is 112. If you find yourself out of the coverage area of your mobile network and there is an Emergency, dial 112 and the mobile will search any existing network to establish the emergency number for you, and interestingly, this number 112 can be dialed even if the keypad is locked. Try it out.     SECOND   (Hidden Battery Power)   Imagine your cell battery is very low. To activate, press the keys *3370#. Your cell phone will restart with this reserve and the instrument will show a 50% increase in battery. This reserve will get charged whe...

33 weeks pregnant and waiting

It has been a while since I last posted. So much has happened in so little time. We had our baby shower for Taluli. it was fun and amazing, so grateful for those who came and shared their insights on motherhood and their gifts for the wonderful bubba. I especially loved the part where the guests will write down their wishes for taluli and I can say my brothers' is the most self absorbed wish of all. I was rushed to the emergency room last friday, May 2, due to persistent stomach cramping I thought we were ready to go so we grabbed my hospital bag and called my mom to meet us at the hospital and to my relief, baby was fine, I am not in Labor and he is in a position getting ready for birth and I was diagnosed with Urinary Tract Infection. I seriously thought I was going through some initial labor pains. I thought one glass of Coke Zero a day was all innocent and okay when it turned out that it was the culprit! So no more coke zero until baby taluli arrives. I was also ask...

Things I know about myself so far.

I am writing these things down as a reminder most of all for progress. 1.)   I love the color Turquoise. 2.)   I m very passionate about God and Jesus that I can go on and on but not religious. 3.)  When a song is about to come up, It feels like I am having sex, a desire brews and I climax with the finish product and end mostly incomplete. LOL. #raw #tmi 4.)   I am funny when I want to be liked. I am serious when I want to be hated. I am seriously funny  when I am comfortable around you. 5.)   I annoy people by asking too much questions. 6.)   I fear the future but create a discipline of just thinking a day or three or a week at a time so if you ask me about the future I can go on and on with my views as to why you should not ask me that. 7.)   I love Cheetos Jalapeno. 8.)   It takes me 2 weeks tops to buy what I want even If I had the money to spend for it. I usually go on rounds and justify before...

The many meanings of Tala's First Name

Image
Today I was having thoughts of insecurities about Tala's name because society dictates it is a baby girl's name. I mean a name is a name yeah...So the investigator in me dug and dug for the real meaning of Tala, unconfined to just how it should be perceived as a name in the Philippines and was amazed to find out that some of the name "Tala"'s attachments are related to Music and Green..further justifies my gut feel for a "green" themed nursery package for taluli. So here are the origins of the name "Tala" in different cultures and nationalities: In India Tala: A music term meaning rhythm or beat.  Means Palm tree, (the name of a palm forest Talavana, or just tree as in Imli Tala (Tamarind Tree), and apparently  Tala can also mean shade. In Thailand: Tala means Green. ( NO wonder my attachment to getting everything colored green for my sweetie pie...amazeballs!) In Samoa: Tala is the name of the currency which was s...
