GM DIET PLAN
I am on a GM Diet after finishing a round of the Insanity workout, although I was eating like a savage, I still managed to loose some weight (From 215 Pounds) still left with 205 Pounds of me. (Yes, 205 Pounds). So me and my office mates decided to go with the GM diet plan.
I admit I have not been in a diet before, I am an emotional eater. This was the first time I followed a diet plan.
So I read and people had great results, I decided to go along and do it.
Here is my account of what happened:
Sunday Prior to The Diet, I carbo-loaded, I finished up half a kilo of spaghetti. I didn't weigh myself. I had to admit I was scared, so I had to prepare and I thought I will quit at some point and slip and have talked my self out of forgiving myself if I did so (I have self beating issues after mistakes, well emotional not physical ayt)
So for my first day, I consumed all the fruits that I can eat, Melon, Watermelon while drinking water, I felt dizzy and light headed on the first day, exercised and did core synergistic, struggled with sleep but I survived.
Second day I Ate veggies, I said to myself I will consume as much as I can, but after a bowl of kangkong and a bowl of sour soup filled with veggies, I was full, also consumed a green tea latte from Starbucks with soy milk and sugar free vanilla syrup and survived day 2. This time weighed myself and was shocked to see that I was 205 pounds. I was devastated. I never weighed myself after my initial bout with Insanity and that episode was an eye opener. This time my exercise was Insanity's pure cardio.
So Third day, we eat veggies and fruits I was very aware of my weight. So I opted for boiled veggies and salad and fruits to a minimum. My exercise for this day was Shoulders and Arms and Ab Ripper X of P90x.
Fourth day was bananas and milk and soup day. I forgot to make the wonder soup and had not much appetite anyway. I have a uncooked banana allergy so I substituted a mix of boiled sweet potato and boiled bananas with 1 liter of skim milk I had problems consuming the milk so I had to mix it with coffee. I also Chugged on Coconut milk as a replacement for the wonder soup or at least the nutrients from it. This time I weighed in and LOST 5 Pounds, I was happy.
Fifth day is , I cooked tomato and beef soup to consume within the day for that Beef and Tomato day of consumption. Was able to finish the day and weighed myself to find out this time, an additional 4 pounds went away shedding off a total of 9 pounds.
Day Six was easy, If you consume beef it makes you full easily while snacking on the veggies so It wasn't a problem. But this time, I took 2 light beers and 1 pack of Pork Rind to chew on as an alternative to beef because i got too sick of it.
Day Seven was not easy, Family days call for hourly eating sessions comprised of a smorgasbord of food. Was thankful I controlled myself and just slept. I was happy I felt a big change in my overall mental and physical health as I became more calm and easy from the hyperactive bullish being that I was when I wasn't disciplining myself. I thought of this as the diet I can do every other week. But as I researched, the body tends to adapt to the lifestyle that when you do it more often, you manage to not loose weight anymore. I decided to do it every 2-3 weeks.
I weighed myself monday and was surprised to be 195! I lost a total of 10 pounds with this diet along with the p90x lean program.
